            Operations

            • Develop and implement authorization to hire process and staffing model
            • Interview, mentor, and manage site leadership including Executive Directors, Director of Clinical Services, QA Nurses, and Sales Managers
            • Work with ownership to align programs to best practice model and address items outside of financial benchmark model in industry standards to increase profitability
            • Plan and conduct leadership and regional training sessions for groups including Executive Directors, Nursing Leadership, Marketers, and Medical Directors
            • Serve as contracting resource for patient related services including LTCF, GIP, Respite, Physicians, and Contracted Patient Care Services
            • Development of Standard Operating Processes

            Clinical


            • Day-to-day resource for clinical services, including but not limited to eligibility determination and documentation, discharge compliance, self-reporting for Abuse Neglect & Exploitation, related and non-related hospitalizations, and coverage issues for related and non-related services
            • Assistance implementing needed policies, procedures, protocols, and documentation systems
            • Developing custom training programs
            • Developing and implementing formulary, authorization tools, and processes to decrease pharmacy costs
            • Negotiating DME and medical supply formulary to control costs and remain compliant
            • Assist with developing over-ride parameters to facilitate cost controls and utilization in pharmacy, durable medical equipment, and medical supply expense
            • Improving referral to admission processes and improving outcomes through increased conversion rates and speed to care access
            • Orient and train new Nursing Management personnel
            • Training clinical teams in all aspects of care including timely admission process, patient care, documentation, hospice standards of care, symptom and pain management
            • Resource for Medical Directors on hospice regulations and eligibility requirements including Local Coverage Determination (LCDs) and documentation

            Compliance


            • Set as a member of Governing Board (Secretary) and assume the role of completion and distribution of all minutes to ensure compliance requirements are met
            • Organize and supervise timely response to ADR probe audits
            • Mock accreditation survey or reviews
            • Facilitate all THHS (formally DADS)/CMS/Palmetto/CHAPs correspondence including licensure applications, renewals, and updates
            • Support sites through all complaint and comprehensive surveys and subsequent plans of correction and IRODs
            • Work with an attorney on all legal aspects of compliance including corporate compliance plan, appeals, litigation, and position responses
            • Quarterly, Focused, or Random audits
            • QAPI preparation, meetings, minutes, and documentation
            • Work with billing manager to resolve billing challenges including eligibility, certifications, ADRs, appeals, discharges, and transfers

            Business Development


            • Assistance with Market Analysis
            • Development of competitive sales plans
            • Development of base sales plans within benchmarks of market competition
            • Development of quarterly and seasonal sales plans with overlay targeted bonus programs
            • Assistance with compliance training for sales staff
            • Resource for sales staff on eligibility, contracting, or market analysis
            • Assistance with account management, call cycles, and analysis
            • Customer Service Training with all team members from office to field

            Administrative


            • Recruitment activity to including resume screening, basic background screening of perspective employee, candidate selection assistance, interview scheduling
            • Electronic offer letters and new hire information packet submission and tracking
            • Full employee background checks to meet regulatory requirements, reference checks, medical testing per policy
            • Onboarding activity to include basic employee file documents, pre-employment orientation activities electronically of paper
            • Create electronic personnel file to upload into shared document file system
            • Managing personnel files through monitoring for deficiencies and emailing staff for updates
